This experience is run by two amazing people! Flo got involved with Street Child in 2012. He's volunteered in our projects in Sierra Leone, and participated in the ‘Sierra Leone marathon’ and West Africa cycle challenge. He founded Street Child's branch in Spain and has been living in Barcelona for 11 years.
Anne got involved with Street Child through the Sierra Leone Marathon which she ran several times and also helped to organise whilst living there. She has lived in Barcelona for 7 years and she runs around Montjuic weekly!
You’ll have lunch in an African restaurant, with a terrance and a nice african decoration inside the venue. You will taste the flavours of Africa while enjoying a nice conversation about Street Child, the projects they develop, how you can collaborate with a charity. As well as the craziest stories your hosts have lived in Africa! Both can give you great "insider" tips for Barcelona and you can ask them more about Street Child's work!
We believe that every child deserves the right to safety and to be empowered through education. Working in some of the poorest areas in the world, we strive to ensure that every child has the chance to go to school and learn. Whether it's building schools, training teachers, distributing business grant or helping orphans and street children, all our projects aim to create stable living opportunities for vulnerable children in the world. Street Child sees education as one of the most important pillars of society. Investing in education is investing in the future!
