You’ll experience Mapuche culture in the city! The metropolitan region concentrates most of the Mapuche population in Chile.

You will visit the Ruka (traditional Mapuche construction) ¨Kiñe Pu Liwen¨ located in La Pintana, just 30 minutes from downtown Santiago.
Here Graciela Cheuepan directs this intercultural educational center where it’s possible to learn about traditional Mapuche activities.
Graciela will welcome you to the Ruka Kiñe Pu Liwen and she will introduce you to the Mapuche people history, through their ancestral trades.

You’ll get the chance to learn their weaving technique and learn about the activities that take place in the communitarian space.
You’ll also get to enjoy a traditional meal prepared with natural ingredients and above all, you’ll share a great meal.
