Really enjoyed reading the website of Interesting Times, and decided to book three tours with them: Alternative Bucharest (with Doru), Outcast Bucharest (with Sergiu), and Slow food (at Stefan). They were all very enjoyable and informative, and a great way to understand today's Bucharest life from the inside, instead of looking in from the outside as a tourist. The alternative tour included a lot of wonderful street art and neighborhoods I otherwise would not have visited; Outcast Bucharest provided valuable insight in the lives of the unemployed and/or homeless, also including some success stories; the slow food evening was a culinary feast and showed me how one Romanian family lives away from the downtown area. The tours of Interesting Times Bureau were certainly the highlight of my stay in Bucharest!
